Jeep Yj Intake Manifold Upgrade. this is our high flow intake manifold for your jeep 232/258 built for off idle torque to the limits of your cam and carb system. i am trying to verify if it makes sense to upgrade my intake manifold on my 4.0l. the early versions of the yj 4.0 have a different ps mounting and will either need to change the pump to a later version. you simply swap everything from your original intake manifold over to the 99+. my goal is a late model intake, stainless performance header with a full 2.25 stainless exhaust, larger injectors, and bored throttle body. on my 89 4.2 i've decided to completely redo the exhaust and put a clifford manifold in and in that process i decided to. I have done every other bolt on upgrade. This includes throttle body, fuel rail, injectors, iac, tps, etc. i recently replaced my (plastic) oil cooler assembly, meaning i had to r&r the upper and lower plastic intake manifolds.
